industry track day 2011

i showed up late as usual for just about everything not business related. but its quite a bit of a drive from chino hills to B.F.E! it was a pretty melo day. everyone seems pretty chill. i didn't get to drive and by the time i got there it was too late to get a ride around the course. boo... i did get a chance to play with my friend's camera. took some shots with my own little toy cam. here a peak of what i got.

my plan is to ship my z out for next year. its gonna be one freaking expensive trip...

got to met new people, catch up with some friends. all in all a great time.

its been relaxing the last few days. not have to worry about a thing besides what to eat or don't spent too much money. i got to visit friends in the car industry, 14hrs in disneyland. hanging out with family from all over the place even from u.k. for my cousin's wedding. so much to do so little time. today was the only day where i can really sit down and write all this. tommorrow, more bugging friends at their jobs. hahaha

its always great to see my cousin. not only i get to shoot my guns. i got to eat home made food from my auntie. i had to stop by japantown and also visit fatlace.
i love it. but i think i'm more of a socal guy. weather was beautiful there. always around 60. i didn't do much this time around because i lived there before. i just needed to relax and play 2 days worth of dead island haha.

opinion, we all have it. but how do we express it? an example of how we express our opinion here in the u.s. or the world. 350z (or fairlady z33 if you want to be a dick about it) with gtr style front bumper. some people hate it because it shows that the z owner can't afford the "real deal" so they put a gtr like front bumper on the car. and people will say "its gay", "wanna be gtr", "fawking ugly". it goes on and on. but if project mu drift z has the same bumper. people would say "wow!" "super jdm", or whatever else jdm nut fanboys would say. how do i know this. i was one of them. but when i sit back and just look at the car. its actually a pretty clean look. take away all the judgement and bullshit we might put on other people. who the fawk are we to judge? car enthusiast all over the world will agree on one thing and that is our car is an expression of ourselves. we mod the way we mod is to represent our personality. if we were to continue we might as well get black people back on cotton fields, jews back in gas chambers, and asian fawkers back in sweatshops or build rail roads. so why judge? i think we can be better than this. expressing love and opinion of different taste is one thing. but when we put people down for it... its just uncalled for. lets go burn books!

WAS A THEME, THEN CAME THE LIFE STYLE, NOW THE TREND...

i couldn't sleep last night. stayed up all night putting my thoughts together on this whole import car scene and where does it all stand in this day and age. its funny, i have more important things in life then car crap, but it just kills me now the way we think about what is right and what is wrong. here is thing, if we don't like it on our own cars, we quickly dismiss it on someone else car. its our personal opinion. however, I'm to the point where I'm not going to make fun of people for it anymore. after all I LOVE CARS. i love driving them, i love playing with them, i love understanding them and how to improve them or admire them. i remember when i was 14 all the rage was about making a Honda civic go faster then a v8. it was like one of those teenage rebellion type of thinking. the underdog that shows up at a v8 party let them talk shit, then send them home crying because they got their ass handed to them by a 4 banger. then the body kits came along. buying Bomex kits and parts that i saw in Japanese mags from importer spending money because i didn't have any bills and just enjoy playing with my civic. after fast and the furious came out. most of us that has been the in car stuff was turned off by the amount of people jumping on the bandwagon and started tuning imports. like most people, we think about how we are now going to be put in the same class as the follower. this was where the mind started working. instead of the fancy body kit and the cool looking shit and making the car go fast. i started doing other things like simple lip kits japanese counter parts. going with the theme of making my car as japanes as they came. include interior parts, exterior optional equipment that was not offered in the u.s. using 15 or 16 instead of 17 or 19 inch wheels. everything was to be total function. after all racing is not cheap. but then that jdm fever caught on and and stayed in the car scene. now it seems like everyone and their mom is talking about jdm this, jdm that, I'm so jdm i sleep on the right side of the bed, I'm so jdm blah, blah, blah. seriously shut up. its bad enough now that I'll hear or see some shit like if a person does a 370z front end on their 350z automatically they get made fun of. but i bet everyone of you fawker out there who loved the 350z was wondering what would a 370z front look like on our own 350z when it first came out. but here is the funny part. if a japanese motherfucker does it on his or her own car. people would be all over their nuts and ass. which makes me wonder, its it truly nice looking, or everyone just caught the Asian fever? might as well start eating sushi, drink sake, and learn to speak a Asian language or even move over sea. i have been in the beginning of all the import scene til now. i can say it has grow more and more. however, it also has turned me off. thanks to the fall out i have with mackin industries. who started producing their own parts from the same factory as project kics, rays, for lug nuts. and their mxp brand is not jdm at all. but did i care? NO. because they are actually good products. but do they sell? not really. it is a lost cause? no. if you believe it you will support it. i can go on and on. but I'm gonna stop. I'm gonna start another "trend" that's been around for a while. its called "I'm gonna get me the best what my money can get." or the "fuck supporting the other jap crap over priced shit when i can make it better myself" trend. this is good. from now on i rather support us based companies. or main japanese company that has a real u.s. base themselves not a fucking middle man importers that is representing them. so to all you mother fucking sushi eating fuck head out there in japan. grow some balls, come to the u.s. set up your base. hire people and grow the company as a whole globally, not just using a silver tongue devil or some fucking korean dickbag to distribute your product and ruin your reputation without you knowing it. ain't you fucks suppose to be smart? grow and brain!
